LeisureCat’s can be fitted with the exceptional
Optimus 360 Joystick Docking Control Systems . . .

Optimus 360 by SeaStar uses state-of-the-art electronics to provide easy 360-degree maneuvering capabilities when docking, negotiating crowded areas or loading a vessel onto a trailer. Even novice boaters using the Optimus 360 Joystick Docking Control System can confidently move the boat forward, backwards, diagonally, rotate it on its own axis, or even move sideways to accomplish tricky docking maneuvers. As the operator easily moves the joystick, the Smart Cylinders respond instantly to independently steer each outboard, engage forward/neutral/reverse gears and apply throttle as needed to move the boat exactly where the operator wants it to go.

Optimus 360 is the culmination of three advanced subsystems which are interconnected and synchronized to provide outstanding steering and intuitive joystick docking control.

Based on LeisureCat’s award-winning power catamaran design using a symmetrical planing hull, the 6000 Brumby retains all the hallmarks of what has made the LeisureCat so popular for fishing, diving and just plain fun.

Beam has been reduced to 2.3m to facilitate trans-shipment in the safety of a container. It has a generous area forward for storage and sleeping, with a recessed storage box in the portside hull allowing for a toilet. There is more than enough room to store all of the gear required for a weekender of a 4-man dive trip, keeping it all in place and dry.

The moulded, curved laminated glass windscreen offers more than adequate protection from any errant spray that may result from the ride as you race across a 5-6 ft wind-swept chop. A unique feature also to this model is the special spray rail joining both hulls forward to trap any water rushing up from the tunnel as the bow rides down the swell and easily up over the next.

Fully loaded, with fuel and two people, the 90 Etech’s on the demo boat delivered a 35 knot top speed at their desired max rpm of 5200. Rated to twin 115 hp 4 strokes, the Brumby will have an engine range to suit all types of use.

The dash area is large enough for all the instrumentation, as well as two of the large 12 inch screens so popular today. The helm bench seats and rear passenger seats are moulded to each side of the boat, offering huge storage under and comfortable ride position.

Also available in a hardtop version.

Not a catamaran, but a fast, fun boat for group outings or serious fishing, catered for with 4 rod holders in the coaming and 3 rear storage compartments and 3 forward storage compartments!

Sometimes known as a “Banana Boat”, its light weight and shallow draft (0.3m or 12″) – allowing it to operate in very shallow water – give it a great turn of speed when powered by a 140 hp Suzuki (or similar).

The compact, but comprehensively fitted, console with its protective screen allows easy walkaround to any part of the boat.

Hull is foam-filled and deck is fully self-draining.

All-in-all, a great fun boat to be out enjoying the sun, surf and water and, of course, the serious fishing!

The craft shown here has a number of options fitted, including rails, bimini, rocket launcher, plus others

Tows easily behind the family sedan on an Aluminium dual-axle trailer.

The LeisureCat 8000 Sportsfisher power catamaran has one-piece windscreen giving greater forward vision while still retaining the strength and safety of the multi-piece. Sliding side windows are standard and can be slid forward or back to give plenty of fresh air flow. The seating is moulded into the superstructure giving increased storage and allows for the installation of an optional galley that includes a 2-burner stove, sink and 12v fridge.

The hardtop comes with an internal liner with gloss gelcoat finish giving a very smart appearance. It includes a moulded console for radio and CD player.

The cockpit coaming has been flattened off to allow large rods and reels to be fitted as well as giving a comfortable leaning/seating position. On the comfort side, there is a double berth cabin with standing room for dressing and an electric toilet. A lid is fitted that can be lowered over the toilet/dressing area to make one huge sleeping area.

Other standard luxuries include LeisureCats fast planing hull, bolsters along insides of gunwales, 120 lt freshwater tank, freshwater transom shower, saltwater deck wash, electric anchor winch, marlin board extension with stainless dive ladder, and many more.

Can be supplied with enclosed cab. (See photos in gallery.)

The LeisureCat 8000 Sportsfisher is designed to give maximum room while still meeting trailerable requirements. Ideally suited to Police patrol and rescue groups and can be customized to suit.
